Put yourself in their shoes and there's clearly something crazy going on. These scenarios all seem well-engineered, but obviously as the audience we have a different perspective. If I hire you to clean my house and you come over and clean for an hour before my neighbor barges in to try to murder me, you have little reason to think that that's fake. This is a scenario that they've been put in and established as real and genuine, with other people there confirming it, for probably hours that we don't see. So, it's hardly a stretch to think that faking aliens and serial killers in front of people might actually convince a lot of them that it's real.Īnd this isn't a random clown in a parking garage. And of course lots of people believe in ghosts and aliens and shit. If they were actors, those moments would be impossible to fake. ![]() All the reactions of how the targets tried to question something or go off course only to be steered back by the actors seemed very genuine and what you'd expect in a manipulative situation like that. The fact is most people will always defer to others and take direction, particularly in stressful/uncertain moments. People are fundamentally the same, no matter the generation. ![]()
